Raise your hand if your birthday cupcake is in need of a few golden animals! This genius idea from Jenny for The Sweetest Occasion is drop dead gorgeous awesome, with a little hint of glamour. All you need is gold spray paint, a drill, a few plastic animals, and a plastic candle holder to stick on top. Finish them with a few coats of paint, and you’ll have sweetest party around.

This is so adorable and what a great way to top a cake! I have also seen somewhere where they take these small animals and cut them in half and glue a magnet to them for fridge magnets! Now I wish I had a bag of these to play with!
Wonderful … any kid will be over the moon with something like this on the birthday cake – lovely wee touch.
Such a creative idea – thanks for sharing!
Wow! These are amazing!!! I want to make a ton.
Same! Coolest idea ever! Hope you’ve been well :)
I have! Thanks for asking.
What a great – and easy – idea! I’ll be doing this next time I throw a themed party. Thanks! :)
Me too! (but probably for any party) They’re gold, gold is versatile enought right?
for sure! Gold works in any and all situations…
This is such an amazing idea! I am totally going to try this the next time I make my friend a birthday cake.
They’ll love it, I’m sure!
where do you buy the plastic candle holders?
You can find them in the baking aisle of grocery stores (or the dollar store), hope this helps!
you immediately caught my attention with the use of a stegosaurus! What a great idea :)
Nothing like a stegosaurus to stop someone in their tracks, I guess ;)
This is so incredibly amazing! I would never pass up an opportunity to make dinosaurs classy.
This made me laugh, and I totally agree with you!:)
I liked these so much I made some for my 21st animal party, they were soooo easy to make! Definitely holding onto these
