I spent yesterday compiling a few of my favorite projects and designs that I’ve done over the last year or so, and I wanted to share my new portfolio with you! I realize that I don’t write much about my day job (working as a server at a seafood restaurant), but that’s mostly because it’s neither exciting nor creative. In fact, it’s the opposite of those things, which is why I decided to put together a portfolio of recent work so that hopefully I can find something I love to do instead of one that consists of taking food orders and getting people more tartar sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I’m incredibly thankful to have a job that’s flexible and pays well (which is what allows me to keep up with S + C), but I’m beyond ready to move on. So, if you know of anything exciting in Houston (or virtual) let me know. Even if not, I accept prayers even more so!

Ashley, Nice protfolio. I always enjoy reading you blog :) I am trying to make a portfolio myself, what format did you use?
I will keep you in my prayers. I am sure you will find a job that you love soon.
Ally
I used Cargo Collective :)
I have followed your blog since the beginning and have been amazed at your talents and creativity. I was equally impressed when you created your own website.
I have commented often that your “work” should be showcased in a magazine or other creative venues.
My prayers that your talent is recognized by someone that needs a enthusiastic, hard working, and committed designer. I will definitely network from the state that I live in.
Sending my happy and positive thoughts to you. And you know what they say, where there’s a will, there’s a way….it will happen!
Thank you :)
Have you ever thought of being a photo stylist? Like…someone that works with the photographer to arrange the props and whatnot for photo shoots? I bet you’d be good at that (it shows from your pics!). And they have them in all categories: food stylists, wardrobe (like for an Anthro catalog), etc.
I would love that, it’s scoring that position that I’m finding tricky. Thanks for the encouragement!
Dear Ashley, you are sooo talented! And I totally get your point regarding job thoughts! Well, I’m brazilian, and I ocasionally got to know and love your website… I totally have faith and believe that ocasionally somebody that is really needing a creative brain, a delicate sense of style is going to trip over your works, love them, nad hire you for millions of dollars hehehe
just wish your good will, patience, and faith ’cause everything falls in the right place in the end! Keep up with your great ideas and works!
Natalia
