Powering out DIY’s is basically the name of the game here at S+C. Although sometimes I need a healthy reminder not to take myself too seriously, which was a dose that came along with this DIY ikat vanity tray* that I made. What I’m hinting towards is that not every project turns out pretty, or how I would hope for it to be, and I’m learning that that’s okay. You win some, and you lose some. And the losses seem to come when you take it a little too serious! Do you ever have these moments? I think they’re also cured by ice cream, but I’ll know for sure momentarily.
*You know you tried when you’re typing a post with one gold hand! :)
I think it looks good– I’m in the middle of a few DIY projects right now because I’ll be moving soon and it’s got me feeling a little down on myself at times. Maybe other people don’t notice the imperfections as much?

There’s a saying that I remember, “Dont sit and gather moss. Get up, get out, do what you dream of doing and if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work but they make you brave and better than you think you are”.
Your projects are much better than you probably think they are :) After all, we are our own worst critique.

Oh yes, have plenty plenty plenty of these moments. But like you said, we can’t win it all – but in the end the important part is to have fun doing what you are doing :) And I agree, I don’t think your project turned out that bad – I’ve done WAAAAAAY worse haha.
