Lately Seth and I have been trying to come up with inexpensive date night ideas that stray from our go-to diners or taco nights (hey, we live in Texas..). With Christmas just around the corner, we’ve been aiming for anything cute and almost free, which is how we ended up having our own little sunset hot chocolate for two.
We bundled up (which gave me good leverage when begging Seth to let me open up my H&M mittens that he got me for Christmas), and laid down a few blankets in the field near our house. I also brought battery operated string lights for a little bit of sparkle when it got dark.
For snacks we packed a vintage picnic kit with hot chocolate, marshmallows, peppermint, and shortbread cookies.

Very smart to learn early that every marriage needs one one one personal time and attention…
No wonder Seth couldnt resist, your too adorable and the mittens, i knew they would have pom poms :)
haha, yes, yes they did have pom poms ;)
Is this in honor of National Hot Chocolate Day today?! :)
Technically I didn’t know it was hot chocolate day, but if it makes me look on top of the game, then yes! ;)
This is so freaking cute, looove this!
Thanks Gaby :)

Thanks Steph, if it’s not snowing in WV you could totally do this and blow mine out of the water!
Aww this is so cute!! Great idea! My boyfriend took me for a picnic on our 2nd date. This would be a great idea to relive it winter style! =)

Such a wonderful idea! I cant wait until finals are all over so I can take the Mr on a date!
Almost there!
You are too adorable! If I tried something like this it wouldn’t be nearly as cute. I love it.

What a sweet, romantic idea!!
thanks Julie :)
Hot cocoa and cookies, my favorite! I love to do this while walking around our peaceful downtown area.
The downtown area of Houston probably isn’t as cute as yours, we’ll have to stick to fields until then ;)
This is absolutely adorable :)
Thanks Kari! Hope you’re well :)
