Since we’re on topic of homes this week, I thought it’d be fitting to give you a run-down on an upcoming room makeover that I partnered up with Valspar on to showcase their new Valspar Reserve paint. I hope you’re ready for a color explosion! Okay, not really, although there is definitely more color involved than the usual white walls you may be used to around here (this one’s for you, Dad. He asks me on a regular basis to use colors that are easier to see!).
We’re going to be making over a little girls room, specifically my friend Cara’s daughter Ainsley (see her in all her cute glory here), to make it a bit more adult for her to grow into. Plus they just had a new baby and we want to make the space just girly enough for Ains, but gender neutral enough for a new baby brother and guests too. Now for the before photos and new room sources…

Cara and her husband Ian have a very young, cool style in every sense, so Ainsley’s current room is no different. I don’t plan to change too drastically from their current vibe, just brighten things up and add a few playful and DIY furniture elements here and there to make it unique yet budget friendly.
I’m really excited about the new artwork from Minted and an awesome textured piece from Woven Laine (ah!). I may secretly be more excited than anyone about getting my hands on a room makeover and it’s not even my house, oops! I’ll be sharing all of the details in the next few weeks, so definitely be sure to follow along!
