Even though I secretly wouldn’t mind sleeping for the next four days and I feel a little all over the place after being out of town most of January already, I’m gearing up for a busy week in Salt Lake City! I’m headed there today for an exciting event with Cricut, and then for Alt Summit the rest of the week. I’ll actually be hosting the Glimmer, Shimmer, Shake mini party with Brittni and Chelsea on Friday night, plus I’ll be hanging by the Smilebooth most days. If you’ll be there this week, be sure to stop by and say hi! Just don’t judge me if I haven’t slept.
In the meantime, I still have lots of goodies for you here, and most exciting of all, I have a new maker to introduce to you in the next few days! You’re going to freak out about how great she is! Also, don’t forget to follow along with my daily adventures (and by that I mean mostly dessert photos) on my Instagram or Facebook page.

I’m officially back from Alt! I’ve got lots of cool goodies and must-have info to share with you this week, but right now I’m still trying to transition back into real life. It’s been a little crazy considering the last two days have involved days of almost no sleep, countless friends made, a car accident, and waking up sick. Let me just tell you that it’s never a dull moment here, folks!
On a smoother note, in case you missed my DIY workshop at Ikea and want to catch up on all of the details, you can read my full post here on the Ikea Houston website. Go check it out and leave some comments there letting me know what you think, but preferably just how awesome I am? Just kidding, sort of…
Hey guys, hope you had a lovely long weekend! My DIY workshop at Ikea Houston this past Saturday went really well, and a big thanks to all of you who came out! I’ll be posting a recap of some of the projects and questions from the event later this week.
I’ve currently spent the last two days feverishly packaging my business cards and outfits for Alt Summit which starts tomorrow, yikes! Are any of you headed to Alt, too? Let me know so we can meet up! Oh, and remember this post? I’ll be teaching a jewelry making class on Saturday that’s based around that project, which I’m pretty excited about.
Last thing for now, the lovely ladies over at Brika graciously asked me to be their Tastemaker for the week! Brika is an online store for small-businesses and artisans (which you all know is right up my alley), and I’ve chosen some of my favorite makers and pieces for you to check out. Let me know what you think!
