I swear someone might actually think I have a green thumb with all of the plant stand DIY’s I’ve been pulling out of my sleeve here lately. It’s cool though, I’m totally happy with being a poser if it means I get to keep this cute DIY acacia wood plant stand around, I just love it!
Even better, it’s actually an Ikea hack, but I didn’t want to get too crazy on you guys all at once. I mean, I know you only need half a reason to run laps around something with it being Friday and all, but just promise that if you do happen to run by an Ikea on your weekend excitement high that you’ll buy up one of these guys to DIY sometime over the next few days…
Having grown up in West Virginia and then moving to Texas, I can honestly say that I love seasons, and winter, and snow.. but I’m not so much a fan of constant cold rain and overall dreariness. It either needs to be winter and snow, or cold and dreary but all I have to do is sit by a fire and drink hot chocolate. Since the latter clearly isn’t going to happen anytime soon, I’m still crossing my fingers for a miracle snow in Houston. Until then, I crafted a neat little way to hang colorful terrariums around the house with my tutorial for DIY colored hanging planters over on Say Yes To Hoboken, today! Can you guess what this little guy is hanging from?
I officially stooped to a whole new level with home improvement store creeping to make these mini DIY copper planters. After seeing how well they turned out though, I’m not ashamed of my Lowe’s habits. You can find more photos and the full tutorial over on Poppytalk. Oh, and if plants aren’t your forte, you can use the same steps to make mini accessory or desk organizers, too!
