DIY // Gift Tag Rubber Stamp

DIY rubber gift tag stamp

I’m totally a sucker for cute packaging. As long as your gift or letters look cute from the outside, people are much more accepting of the fact that they have to pretend to like what you got them. Not that I know this from experience or anything because I always get people things they like, ughm … but hypothetically speaking, of course. Moving on..

One way to add a creative touch to your packaging is with this brilliant idea from Creature Comforts of creating your very own gift tag stamp from a standard square eraser! It’s clean lines and inexpensive supplies make it a go-to DIY for all things gift wrapping.

I absolutely LOVE this idea! Who would have thought an eraser could make a cool stamp! Thanks so much for sharing, and I agree, the prettier the packaging and it’s embellishments, the cuter the gift is! Did you know that you can also use a potato cut in half and carve the potato for a stamp? I saw this idea on Martha Stewart’s website a while ago. Next time I head to the craft store, I am going to pick up some huge erasers!

    • Sigh, Martha Stewart, do they come any more clever than her?

Great idea! I usually use paper tags (which can get annoying when you’re short on time!), or just write directly on the wrapping, but I’m going to have to try this out sometime!

    • I do the same thing! It’s so much easier to make a stamp once and have it forever than for me to constantly hunt down tags.

Love this and oh so creative – just adds a spark to a letter or package!

    • Agreed! Especially if you used fun colored ink, like shimmery gold.
