Okay, okay, so technically this table isn’t in the shape of “C”. But it turns out that there aren’t many other cute things to name a snacking table for your sofa. Alas, we landed on either “DIY sofa table” or “how to make an easy c table”.

Calling it a TV dinner table also didn’t quite do it justice. And I’ve been itching to make this DIY marble and gold c table for quite a while after some serious material deliberation and research. (Thanks for your help, Zach!).

So when we were asked to DIY the perfect little something for a movie night to celebrate how the new DIGIORNO Artisan Style Melts help you rise to any occasion, I decided to finally bust this one out, cute name or not!

They’re both perfect for smaller, two-person occasions and movie night snacking which is always a great idea.

Hello, fellow homebody couples! Since we’re self-proclaimed movie date-night professionals , we obviously had to take this little beauty and a pizza for a spin ourselves…

Materials And Tools Needed To Make An Easy DIY Sofa Table

You know I love a good easy DIY project that doesn’t require you to cut wood, use wood filler, wood stain, or drill pilot holes. Basically the easier the better in my book!

While this is by no means a long table or big piece of furniture for the living room, it is perfect for small spaces and making sure you always have a drink nearby.

Not to brag about my love of eating and watching TV or anything, but I’ve also been known to make a DIY tv tray table with a reclaimed wood look or two.

I also repurposed a marble cutting board for a table top and hairpin legs to make this DIY side table, and even made a DIY floor table as a twist on the classic coffee table here.

You could easily recreate some of our DIY table ideas for an actual table behind the sofa or console table rather than this play on a sofa table.

Narrow table or not, here’s the step by step instructions for this twist on an easy DIY sofa table…

How To Make A C Table

Before painting or gluing anything, assemble the pieces of the pipe and floor flange (making sure the surface is clean), and place into the cylinder to make sure everything fits and is the right height for your sofa.

Remove the pipe and place it upside down so that it stands up on the floor flange to be able to spray paint it metallic gold.

While that’s drying sand down the side of the raw cement cylinder for a smoother, cleaner look.

If you want it to look polished, you can use an electric sander with fine sand paper.

You can also create the metallic gold ombre look for a glam style table like we did.

To recreate this by flipping the concrete cylinder upside down and lightly spray painting the edges with metallic gold paint from about 12-15 inches away and let dry.

Cut one of the large square, felt pads down an inch on all sides to make it fit with the edges unseen on the bottom of the cylinder to make moving the table around easier.

Now all that’s left is gluing the pieces together!

First, squeeze liquid nails in the hole in the cylinder and let stand to become tacky for about 5 minutes.

Then, insert the metallic gold painted pole.

Next, use the liquid nails on the flat piece of the floor flange and place the marble board centered on top.

Let all of the pieces dry/set completely for 48 hours before use or moving.
