Does the fact that this post contains both the words “DIY” and “giveaway” in one place just make you want to explode? I thought so. The lovely Kimberly Moore of Third Floor Design Studio is giving away the a world map of your color choice, and I happened to have gotten my hands on one too. Obviously nothing comes in my house without some sort of DIY addition, so I decided to gold leaf North America. Yes, I just said that.
Before we get to the tutorial, we have to acknowledge that no set of prints is worth much if you can’t hang them, so Ikea is also supplying the lucky winner with a $40 gift card to buy the cute frames to accompany them as part of there back to school series! That’s over $100 worth of cuteness for free, can’t beat that!

Materials for the DIY:
- Printed artwork (map in this case)
- Golf leafing kit (gold leaf sheets and an adhesive pen)
Trace over your printed artwork with the adhesive pen, allowing it to dry for 5-10 minutes.
Lay sheets of the gold leaf over top of parts you traced with glue and rub gently with your fingers. Pull the leafing away, and brush away excess leafing with your fingers or a soft brush. Now Frame them and you’re all set!
