That’s definitely a good solution for fruit flies. Someone suggested that to us once. We tried it but we were still weary. The next day, tons of fruit flies were trapped!

You mentionned fruit flie. The best solution I have found for them is to keep small pretty glass bottles in my kitchen. Put in a few Tbsp apple cider vinegar and a drop of dish soap. It will be full of flies in no time. Drain and refill as needed.
