It’s just a celebration of August produce that’s ripe for the taking! While it’s satisfying on its own, it’s also the perfect side dish for just about anything on the grill.
And there is just a few key steps to teach you how to make the perfect caprese salad, both as an entree of side dish.
It’s definitely the perfect summer plating!
Slice the peaches, tear the mozzarella, pick the basil. Stack, drizzle with good-quality olive oil and a little balsamic reduction and Peach Caprese Salad is served.
Since the ingredient list can fit on a small post-it, spring for quality here. Fresh juicy peaches are the stars of the show so makes sure yours are up for the task.
Ingredients Needed To Make A Peach Caprese Salad
- 4 large, ripe yellow peaches
- 1 lb. fresh mozzarella ball
- ¼ cup torn basil leaves
- 1 tbsp. good-quality olive oil
- 1 tbsp. white balsamic vinegar reduction
- Flaked sea salt/freshly ground black pepper
How To Make A Peach Caprese Salad
Slice the peaches and fresh mozzarella into 1’2”-1” thick slices.
If you are laying them on a platter, you can slice them a little bit thinner. But if you are stacking them then err towards the 1” size for maximum height and stack ability.
Layer the peach slices, mozzarella slices and basil leaves on a large platter.
Drizzle with olive oil, white balsamic reduction and a generous pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Alternatively, create individual stacks.
Layer 1-2 slices of peach with 1 slice mozzarella and top with 1-2 basil leaves.
Layer again with 1-2 slices of peach, mozzarella and basil leaves.
Divide the olive oil/balsamic vinegar and drizzle each stack with 1 tsp. each.
Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
I’m sure this is soon to be one of your go-to favorites that you can make in no time! Plus, it’s the perfect combination of salty and sweet, so you really can’t go wrong with any crowd!
