Round Top Blogger Retreat: A Farmhouse Dinner Tablescape

It seems bittersweet to talk about my love of Texas with the remnants of Hurricane Harvey still going strong, but also as good a time as any to celebrate home! You may remember our trip to Round Top, Texas for a blogger retreat that we got to host for a group of blogger friends across the country from IG stories and sneak peeks in July.

The group we got to share the weekend with is one that I’ve been apart of online for that last few years, from right after my very first blog conference actually! There were a few new additions from fellow Texans, but it was fun to introduce a little bit of Texas to several that had never been here before.

I’m insanely grateful to the Round Top Chamber of Commerce and The Vintage Round Top for sponsoring us for the weekend and for The Prairie by Rachel Ashwell and The Wander Inn by Junk Gypsy for housing the rest of the gang!…

To welcome all of the guests, we had a set of goodies on each bed that included a box of Lindt chocolates, custom cactus cookies (a Texas staple of course!) by Sweet Jenny Belle, Pizzazzerie’s new entertaining book, and a whole slew of paper goodies thanks to our friends at Minted.

While everyone got unpacked and settled into The Vintage Round Top (literally the photos don’t even do it justice!), we set up a farmhouse dinner tablescape in the main space to host dinner for the first night.

Brittni put together this insanely gorgeous floral centerpiece with flowers from Flower Muse which TOTALLY made the table, don’t you think?!

For those that had asked on Instagram, the custom gold foil menus were from Minted as well, and possibly one of my favorite designs they have.

The catering was all done by Houston-based Armandos and was some seriously delicious Tex-mex that I hadn’t tried yet even though I’ve lived here for eight years now, crazy!

We of course always have to sneak in a good balloon photo-op, so we repped my friend Studio DIY’s balloon shop to make this cute balloon cluster outside the door to the catering table. How amazing are those rose gold orbs?!

As for the rest of the tablescape, we mixed and matched several pieces from the studio to pull together this layered table look, and I linked all of the table sources below as best as I could.
