Sugar & Cloth Casa: Our Guest Bathroom Makeover Design Plan + Before Photos!

In case a new baby isn’t exciting enough, we’re still going strong with house renovations! Admittedly we’re already finished with the construction itself by the time you’re reading this, but we still have the fun decor decisions left! No one would’ve wanted to be around me if we still had power tools, jackhammers, and constructions guys around while adjusting to newborn life, haha.

While we’ve already finished our master bathroom, the guest bathroom was an equally dire situation that needed addressing, so I’m excited to share our guest bathroom makeover design plan and before photos. Try not to fall over when you see what the bathroom looked like when we first moved in…

This is the photos from the online listing for our house — Yikes, am I right?! That yellow… so bad. Ours was actually painted white and sans the ugly textiles but still had weird orange tiling (see below)…

We wanted to stick with a somewhat consistent theme with the upstairs bathroom design so that whenever we go to sell the house eventually, it seems cohesive. We stuck with the gold Kohler shower hardware, marble accents, and the hexagon tile floor but in a dark blue this time. I LOVE this hexagon flooring from Wayfair!

blush marble shower curtain // gold rectangle accent mirror // salmon colored towel set // widespread sink faucet in vibrant modern gold // white toilet //  vanity top & vanity base pairing // cape cod hexagon blue tiles  // shower head in vibrant modern gold // rose colored planter // alcove tub // white round bath mat // vibrant modern gold handheld shower //  vibrant modern gold valve // vibrant modern brush gold tub filler // brass shower rod // polished marble subway tile // wall mount cabinet // O shower curtain hooks

The only things really missing now are little decor elements. The space is so small I didn’t spend too much time picking out decorations because I wanted to see what the space looked like as it came together before deciding how much or how little to add to it otherwise.

Lastly, what do ya’ll think of that pink marble shower curtain?! Too loud, or just loud enough?!…

And a huge thank you to Kohler and Wayfair for sponsoring most of our bathroom renovation elements!

That yellow curtain is the cutest thing in your bathroom! LOL!
The golden tap and mixer is sleek, elegant and trendy.
As for the pink shower curtains, don’t you think some other colour would go better?

    • Thanks for your thoughts! Totally personal style, but I’m excited about the navy/pink combo. We’ll see, soon enough! :)

I think the pink shower curtain is going to look terrific with the blue floor and the marble and gold in your shower. Also, it matches the rest of your design choices in the other rooms and it will help tie everything together!

    • Thank you! We think so too :) pink and blue forever!
