Spiced Apple Cider Drink Recipe

You can make this cocktail or mocktail two ways: served warm as a spiced drink, or serve chilled as a refreshing punch!

Equipment

  • Pitcher
  • Pan
  • Slow cooker optional if served warm

Ingredients

  • 4 cup apple cider
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar 
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 small juiced orange
  • 2 tsp cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cup dark rum leave out if making a mocktail
  • 5 cinnamon stick halved, optional for glass garnish
  • 10 apple slice optional for glass garnish

Instructions

For punch:

  • Combine all ingredients into a pitcher and stir.
  • Garnish with half a cinamon stick.

For a warm spiced version:

  • Combine all ingredients with the exception of the dark rum into a pan and warm to medium heat. 
  • Once warm, reduce the heat to low and add in the dark rum. 
  • Garnish with half a cinamon stick and apple slice.
