Moscow Mule Float Recipe

A boozy float using tart homemade lime sorbet to make a citrusy, spicy, drink that is perfectly thirst quenching.

Ingredients

Moscow Mule Float

  • 6 oz ginger beer chilled
  • 2.5 oz vodka To make this non-alcoholic, omit the vodka and add two more ounces of ginger beer.
  • 3 scoop lime sorbet Recipe below. You can use store bought sorbet, but you will need to add a squeeze or two of lime to make it tart enough.
  • 1 lime wheel for garnish
  • 1 mint sprig for garnish

Lime Sorbet

  • 2 cup simple syrup
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • zest from 4 limes
  • 0.5 cup cup water

Instructions

Moscow Mule Float

  • Add vodka and ginger beer to a chilled copper mug. Stir.
  • Top with lime scoops of sorbet. Garnish with lime wheel and mint.

Lime Sorbet

  • Add 1 1/4 cup sugar and 1 1/4 cup water to saucepan on high. Heat until sugar dissolves and tale off the heat and cool the simple syrup
  • Mix in the lime juice, water and zest. Use an ice cream machine to freeze or pour into an air tight container and place in the freezer.
  • Stir mixture frequently until frozen to avoid large ice crystals from forming. Store for up to 3 months in the freezer.
