Equipment

  • Microwavable bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/4 oz lemon juice
  • 5 dash rose water or orange blossom optional for rose flavoring

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the pomegranate juice and granulated sugar.
  • Place the bowl in the microwave and heat on high for 30 seconds. Stir the mixture to dissolve the sugar. If sugar has not fully dissolved, microwave for 15 second increments until fully incorporated. Do not boil or you will lose the fresh flavor of the pomegranate. The consistency should be slightly thickened.
  • Add in the lemon juice and rose water. Stir until well combined. Let cool to room temperature before using. Strain through a fine mesh sieve if needed.

Notes

Transfer the rose grenadine syrup into a sealed container and refrigerate for up to 3-4 weeks.
