Equipment

  • Ice clamps
  • Chilled martini glass
  • Cocktail jigger
  • Cocktail strainer
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

For the rose martini:

  • 2 fl oz vodka
  • 1 fl oz pink strawberry gin
  • 1 fl oz peach schnapps
  • 1 dash orange bitters
  • 1 tbsp honey and rose simple syrup store brought or refer to homemade recipe in the post
  • 1 tsp rose water
  • Strawberry slices and rose petals for garnish

For the honey and rose simple syrup:

  • 1 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup rose water
  • Dried rosebuds  organic and food-grade

Instructions

To make the honey and rose simple syrup:

  • In a small bowl, heat the honey on low in the microwave for 10 seconds (or until it becomes runnier). Depending on the temperature of your kitchen, honey can be crystalized and more difficult to dissolve in water.
  • In a small saucepan, stir the heated honey, water, rose water, and dried rosebuds and stir until completely dissolved.
  • Once the mixture thickens and the color starts turning red, stop the cooking process and let it sit for a couple of minutes.
  • Strain and store in an airtight container in the fridge.

To make the rose martini:

  • Chill the martini glasses in the freezer for at least 15-20 minutes.
  • In the cocktail shaker, add a couple of ice cubes and the vodka, pink gin, peach schnapps, orange bitters, rosewater, and honey and rose simple syrup.
  • Close tight and shake vigorously for about 1 minute.
  • Slice a strawberry in thin slices. Reserve.
  • Take the glasses from the freezer and strain and pour the cocktail.
  • Garnish with a slice of strawberry and a rose petal. You can make the strawberry slice sit on the brim of the glass by making a tiny sloth on the side of it.

Notes

This is a very sweet cocktail, so it's best to be served either as a dessert cocktail or during Happy hour.
You can make it less sweet by omitting the honey and rose simple syrup, but in this case you might need to substitute it with rose water to maintain the flavor profile.
