A Last Minute Playful Easter Dessert Table Idea
Is it throwing anyone else off that Easter is SO early this year?! I swear I blinked an eye and it was all the sudden spring in full force. In case you’re playing a little bit of catch-up like we are, we put together a last-minute playful Easter dessert table to give you a few ideas for impressing the little ones this weekend, sans the extra cooking. Technically it’s not just for the kids, the young at heart will do just fine, too.
In fact, all you really need to recreate this tablescape is a trip to Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, a heaping handful of leftover plastic eggs, and a crowd that loves a good ice cream cake or glazed treat. Of course I can never resist a cute, colorful banner either…
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m all for homemade treats and spending a little extra time making sure the egg hunt is placed juuuust right, but we can’t do everything from the ground up all of the time. Let’s be honest, we’ve all done the boxed version of a recipe or two just to make the occasion, except in this case you don’t even need to use the kitchen at all for a dessert table that’s impressive.
Instead, we used a Baskin-Robbins vanilla Easter Egg Cake (perfect for Texas Spring heat!), and Strawberry Shortcake Croissant Donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts as our desserts of choice. The cake is plenty to feed 10-12 people, and you can never go wrong with a Croissant Donut, especially if it’s filled with strawberry buttercreme filling (both of which we picked up locally in-store!).
For the rest of the simple table decor, I used a fun Happy Easter banner (though I realllly wanted to squeeze this sign in somewhere), colorful Easter eggs in a cute jar to match, and a few touches of gold, like these striped napkins.
Have you all finished up your prepping for the holiday weekend yet?! Also, I’m dying to know what your last-minute tricks are for holiday decor and desserts, too!
We’ll be busy hosting a bridal shower here in the studio tomorrow, and then we’re off to Easter celebrations with family. Wishing you all an awesome weekend, and a giant slice of ice cream cake!
A big thanks to Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins for partnering with us to share our Easter dessert table ideas with you!
