6 Oddly Satisfying Spring Refrigerator Cleaning Hacks
I don’t know about you all, but I looooove a good binge spring cleaning. I’m not exactly a super clean freak all the time, but once I force myself to get on a cleaning roll, I’m like a chubby pumpkin just picking up speed down a rolling hill. You know what I mean?
Of course, there’s always the not-so-graceful crash at the end that usually results in me binge watching TV at the end of the day, but the cleaning roll is always nice while it lasts. These six oddly satisfying spring refrigerator cleaning hacks will make you feel very accomplished before your TV watching resumes.
Did you know that parents are more likely than non-parents to think cleaning activities are oddly satisfying because it makes them happy (39% vs. 29% of non-parents!!)? I mean, we’ve only been on the parent train for almost three months, and I’d say for SURE there is something to that statistic. Maybe it’s all of the 952,935 kid things strewn everywhere that makes us want to break out into a cleaning frenzy? Haha!
We’ve teamed up with a family favorite, Clorox®, to make these literally squeaky clean ideas come to life. Another fun fact: 27% of Americans find cleaning the inside of the fridge to be one of THE most oddly satisfying chores, so it seems like I’m in good company on the fridge being the perfect place to start!
Lucky for you, our studio fridge happens to be fulllll of desserts and currently super sticky, outdated food, so this before and after will give you all the feels. This was the state of our studio fridge before…
Hack 1: Using shelf liners on freshly cleaned fridge shelves will make future clean-ups and wipe-downs a breeze, plus you can get as wild as you want with the pattern and color!
Hack 2: Adding a lazy susan makes for an easy way to find your favorite condiments and periodically wiping down the bottom of your jars and containers with Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes will keep everything in tip-top shape.
Hack 3: Maximize your refrigerator storage (or even claim a box for each family member for their own goodies!) by adding slide-on plastic drawer organizers (or these mint boxes for the shelves!). Naturally, mine would hold macarons…
Hack 4: Add a magnetic basket on the side of the fridge to hold quick grab items like napkins and flatware and your Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes Easy-To-Pull (the same great wipe love but now in an easy-to-pull pack that makes for simple storing, stacking, or taking on-the-go).
Hack 5: Utilize plastic egg bins for a fun pop of color that will allow you to stack additional items on top of your otherwise fragile breakfast goodies.
Hack 6: Use Clorox® Clean-Up® Cleaner + Bleach for getting rid of the grime and brightening your kitchen grout. With their Smart Tube Technology®, you can spray every last drop.
In case you’re one of the 71% of people who find cleaning activities oddly satisfying because it makes you feel relaxed, then I’d say you’re well on your way now!
