Hi Amy! When deep frying a turkey in an oil-less air fryer, it should cook for about 10 minutes per pound. Please not that this recipe uses one of those propane large fryers. This is not the same thing as an air fryer oven or a countertop air fryer. A 10–18-pound turkey that is unstuffed should take about 3–3.5 hours.]]></description>

Hi Rita! The oil is used to spray the basket so that the turkey does not stick to it. We wouldn&#039;t recommend subbing the oil for butter UNLESS it was a spray butter that could easily coat around the basket.]]></description>
