Round Top Blogger Retreat: A Pastel Poolside Brunch
Though Summer is quickly winding down, I think we can all agree that staring at some poolside brunch photos will do the heart good. Plus, there’s tex-mex so what’s not to love?
As part two of our blogger retreat in Round Top, Texas (you can see part one here if you missed it!) it’s all about…more eating (ha!), flowers, fields of horses, and the cutest shops in Round Top. Basically all of my favorite things, with a lot of my favorite people in town so it was obviously a good weekend…
The only other thing that can make a poolside brunch better floating flower petals (thank you, Flower Muse!!) and sugar cookie coconuts and seashells by Sweet Jenny Belle. And like the first night’s dinner, Armandos did the brunch catering and it was insanely delicious.
I wanted to stick with a touch of a tropical theme, because Summer, so I used these palm print placemats I snagged from Paper Source on sale last Summer that I’ve been hoarding for the perfect occasion.
I also only needed half a reason to bust out these metallic gold dotted paper runners from Minted to go along with the gold foil menus that are SO cute, don’t you think?
We also used more balloons from Studio DIY’s balloon shop to float in the pool, but as it turns out I clearly have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to accurately anchoring them on a windy day because it the huge balloon anchors wouldn’t hold the helium! If any of you have tips on that, I’m all ears!
