Equipment

  • Drill, screws, and drill bit
  • Foam brush for stain
  • Super glue

Ingredients

  • 1 wood round
  • 1 wood stain any color of your choice
  • 1 3D clock hands movement time
  • 1 metallic gold spray paint optional
  • 1 clear shellac spray paint optional
  • 12 dowel cap
  • 3 D-ring hanger
  • 1 picture wire

Instructions

  • Stain the wood round and let it dry completely.
  • Optional: Spray a coat of the clear shellac paint over the wood round to protect the wood stain.
  • Optional: While the wood round is drying, spray paint the clock movement and wooden dowel caps with the metallic gold and let dry.
  • Attach the d-ring picture hangers to the back of the wood circle with a drill.
  • String the picture wire between the two so that the clock is ready to hang once the front is assembled.
  • Flip the board over to assemble 3D clock hands to the front face of the clock.
The clock movement we used only needs to rest on the front. So we measured out the exact center of wood round. Then we drilled a screw about 1/2" below the center so that once the mechanism is hanging it will sit in the middle of the wood round.
  • Glue the 12 wooden dowel caps in place to represent the 12 hours.
