Sauce pan
Fine mesh strainer
- 8 oz white granulated sugar
- 8 oz water
- 3 tbsp dried lavender buds
In a saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar over medium heat. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves completely.
Once the sugar has dissolved, add the dried lavender buds to the saucepan.
When the mixture boils, remove the saucepan from heat and allow the lavender syrup to steep and cool to room temperature. This will give the syrup time to infuse with the lavender flavor.
Once the syrup has cooled and reached your desired level of lavender flavor, strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean container or jar.
