Scorpion Bowl Recipe

Equipment

  • Pitcher or volcano bowl or scorpion bowl
  • Tiki glass for single serving

Ingredients

  • 6 oz pineapple juice
  • 6 oz orange juice
  • 2 oz gin
  • 2 oz light rum
  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 1 oz grenadine
  • Pineapple wedges option for garnish
  • Orange wedges option for garnish
  • Cocktail cherries option for garnish

Instructions

For a large 5-serving 32-ounces batch:

  • In a large pitcher, add plenty of ice and some of the orange and pineapple slices, and cocktail cherries garnishes. 
  • Pour in all your ingredients, one by one and mix well with a cocktail spoon.
  • Top up with more juice if needed. 
  • Pour the grenadine so it creates the ombre effect. 
  • Optional: Garnish with the remaining pineapple, oranges, and cherries.

For a single serving drink:

  • In a cocktail shaker filled, add 1 1/2 ounces of pineapple juice, 1 1/2 ounces of orange juice, 1/2 ounce of gin, 1/2 ounce of light rum and 1/2 ounce of dark rum. Shake well until chilled.
  • Serve in a Tiki glass prepped with plenty of ice and a few orange triangles.
  • Pour in a dash of grenadine (about 1/2 teaspoon) to create the ombre effect.
  • Optional: Garnish with a pineapple triangle sitting on the brim of the glass, a cherry, and a cocktail umbrella.
