DIY Clean & Dirty Dishwasher Magnet — A DIY Dishwasher Magnet so you’re never second-guessing whether or not your dishes are dirty or clean!

Okay, so I’m a little late on today’s post. To be honest, I was sleeping (42 hours of work in 3.5 days will do that to you).

Nonetheless, I should note that the random tapping noise in the background is me patting myself on the back for this DIY.

Normally I do projects mainly because they are just pretty, but this one is super practical and pretty. SPP: Super Practical & Pretty. There, I just coined that.

So, what is the practicality of a clean & dirty magnet? Well, if you’ve ever had those moments where you’re not sure whether the dishes in the dishwasher have been cleaned or not (or any good reason as to why they haven’t been put away), then this is the DIY for you!

All you have to do is print the label onto photo paper, stick it to an adhesive magnet, then flip it to the clean side when the dishes are cleaning, or flip it back to the dirty side when the dishes are dirty!

Materials:

  • Scissors
  • Adhesive Magnet
  • Glossy Photo Paper (or regular printer paper)
  • Photo Preserving spray paint in Gloss (optional)

1 | Save & print the printable (link below)

2 | Trim the adhesive magnet and the print to the same same size.

3 | Peel the adhesive backing from the magnet, and stick the print to it.

4 | Spray paint the front of the magnet with the photo preserving spray.

  3. I love this. I was able to buy an 8 x 11 magnet sheet with glossy paper on one side. Mostly used for photos. A little expensive but great idea to print pictures of grandchildren to. My question is there a way to increase the size of your design so I can make the magnet larger? I want it to stand out more. Thanks Tracy
