DIY Tasting Flight Boards
While most people are used to tasting flights being used for drinks, I like to think they’re a little more versatile than that. Macarons, cake, chocolate, or in this case, Blue Diamond Crafted Gourmet Almonds. Or all of the above! We clearly like to go over the top around here.
Even though these DIY tasting flight boards may seem overly simple (that’s the beauty of them, anyway!), they might be one of the most versatile DIY’s you’ll make. They’re easy to do, have the perfect pop of gold, and can be used for flight tastings or styling dinner parties in general. The sky’s the limit, really.
For ours, I used four gold discs on each board to serve as a marker for each of my favorite Blue Diamond Crafted Gourmet Almond flavors — Pink Himalayan Salt, Rosemary and Sea Salt, Black Truffle, and Garlic Herb & Olive Oil…
1 – Spray paint/stain the wood boards in the color of your choosing.
2 – Spray paint the boards with the food safe clear shellac paint to lock in the color.
3 – With the craft glue, adhere the brass disks in your desired position. (Keep in mind this is where you’ll be placing your cups for the almond tasting.)
4 – Use your choice of mini flutes or egg holders for displaying your almonds on your flight board. (Get as creative as you’d like here and give your flight some character!)
5 – Don’t forget your tasting cards to keep note of your fave Blue Diamond Crafted Gourmet Almond flavors!
These are a classy and (salty) sweet DIY, don’t you think?! What’s your favorite way to present tastings?
Thank you to Blue Diamond Almonds for partnering with us on this post! Sugar & Cloth has chosen to donate 5% of all sponsored campaigns to charity, which you can read more about right here.
