Our schedule hasn’t allowed us to attend many events this year, but you know I’m never one to pass up a workshop invite from the Vintage Round Top! Last April, we were fortunate to be a guest panelist on their Business, Branding and Social Media series alongside Women of Today and Camila Alves McConaughey.
Round Top has always been one of our favorite small town getaways. In the past, we traveled there for a blogger retreat and hosted a DIY demo during the Round Top Antiques Fair, one of the most epic antique events in Texas!
Besides the fact that the Vintage property is insanely beautiful, the owners have a wonderful mission to help mentor young artisans, business owners, and creatives.
Plus, the event was co-hosted by Camila Alves McConaughey, so hellooooo! She may have a husband with a familiar name, but she’s an inspirational entrepreneur who runs her lifestyle blog, Women of Today, in her own right!
The panels were really intimate so we loved connecting with all the guests and learning about their businesses.
The best part of the weekend was the introduction dinner!
Top Chef winner Kristen Kish treated us to salmon crudo and strawberry meringue. We sipped on specialty cocktails from Bar Rescue’s Rob Floyd. And ended the night with a private concert from Andy Grammar and sweets from Rio Bites. NO BIG DEAL!
I might add that I was unknowingly VERY newly pregnant during this event, so I’m glad I got to try the cocktails while I could. Haha!
The workshops kicked off the next day! We shared our strategies and experiences on growing a brand. Then, we presented a live bar styling using our Sugar & Cloth serveware with vintage pieces from Loot Rental to style Camila’s cocktail and appetizers.
Hands-on learning is always best — and way more fun. So we also hosted an interactive Q&A session with all the attendees along with ample time for photographing their swag bag goodies, using our photography and social media posting tips.

So, so honored to have been a part of the Women of Today x Vintage Round Top event and hoping we can work together on more in the future!
The website you shared helped me a lot. I have learned a lot from this site.

It totally is. We really do believe that it’s important for brands especially small businesses to connect. We always say this but it never should be a competition but a network to learn from each other! Thanks, Julia!
Wow! This looks and sounds like such an amazing event to attend! Such a gorgeous setting too!
It was! We could stay there forever if we could!
