Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 oz carrot juice
  • 1 3/4 oz vodka
  • 3/4 oz lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup
  • 1 in ginger peeled and sliced into quarter-sized pieces
  • 1 egg white
  • Mini rainbow carrots optional for garnish
  • Edible flowers optional for garnish

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the sliced ginger. Muddle the ginger to release its flavors. If you prefer a stronger ginger kick, muddle a bit more.
  • To the shaker (without ice), add the carrot juice, vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white. Dry shake vigorously for about 30 seconds.
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake again for another 15-20 seconds. This chills the cocktail and further incorporates the flavors.
  • Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass using a fine mesh strainer to ensure a smooth texture. Discard any small ginger or ice particles.
  • Optional: Garnish with mini-carrots and/or edible flowers.
