Spiced Pumpkin Punch Cocktail
A spicy take on your traditional pumpkin punch with a special ingredient -- persimmon!

For the persimmon syrup:
- 2 ripe persimmons
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
For the spiced pumpkin punch:
- 1 1/2 oz rum
- 1/2 oz Allspice Dram
- 1 oz orange juice
- 1 oz apple juice
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 3/4 oz persimmon syrup directions below
- 1/4 oz pumpkin purée
- 1 dash cinnamon to garnish
- 1 pinch nutmeg to garnish
To make the persimmon syrup:
Add all ingredients (persimmon, brown sugar and water) to a saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat.
Turn to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
Take off the syrup off the heat and allow it to cool before using. It will keep for 3 weeks in sealed container in the refrigerator.
To make the spiced pumpkin punch:
Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice.
Shake hard to incorporate the pumpkin purée.
Double strain into a glass with ice.
Top with a dash of cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg.
