Our Family Friends Trip To Scottsdale

May the family friend travel trips commence! Is it weird that having long-time family friends that we get to travel with has always been a major bucket list thing for me when it came to having kids? I just think it’s such a fun growing experience for everyone, and if there’s one thing for sure when it comes to parenting, there is power in numbers!

My close friends Brittni of Paper & Stitch,  Kelly of Studio DIY, and Lexy of Proper Blog and I took our first vacay with ALL of our kiddos and husbands to Scottsdale, AZ and it was a blast! We stayed at the ultra-chic Andaz Scottsdale, and it was the perfect mix of well-designed, fun, and perfectly put together. We basically took 1,411,104 photos every time we turned a corner there, so that should tell you something!

As you may already know, Baby G is always down for a good pair of sunnies which was perfect for this low-key weekend spent by the pool. We basically rotated from eating, to napping, to lounging by the pool. My ideal version of vacation in a nutshell!

There are tons of cute restaurants and shops in Scottsdale, but with babies in tow, it was easier to go the loose plans route. Also if you’re looking for spas in Scottsdale, the Andaz spa is gorge and has it’s own adults only pool!

If you’re headed there without the babes and are wondering what to do in Scottsdale, not to worry. You can pretty much throw a rock and hit 5 beautiful restaurants from the hotel alone. Plus you can’t go wrong with a desert golf course or a visit to Frank Lloyd Wright’s winter home The Taliesin West. You know, just something casual, ha!

To make sure the babies were relaxing in style while also staying cool, I made these DIY cooling neckerchiefs for them while Lexy brought DIY hooded pool towels for the kiddos.

  1. We are on a longer trip in México and found a wonderful nanny for our toddler. They spent 3 hours together in the morning and had SO many adventures- she knows all the local playgrounds. He learning a little more Spanish too.
