Fall Decorating Ideas: DIY Fall Table Decor You Can Make!

You guys, Fall is almost is here!!!!! It’s my favorite time of year for weather and I’ll take all the cozy vibes! Thus, I’m sharing a few fall decorating ideas in the form of DIY Fall table decor that you can easily recreate this season.

I’m specifically showing you how I combined them for styling fall dining table decor, but you could easily use the same concepts for romantic fall wedding table decorations or even paired down for a fall picnic table! Of course, you can always use them for a dinner party, dining room, or living room too!

This probably goes without saying, but all of these double as Thanksgiving decorations, too. If you’re going to DIY decorations, you might as well make sure you get good bang for your buck (and time)!

Since there are a lot of occasions to decorate for at the end of the year, I kept these decorating ideas super simple and inexpensive. That way you’re spending your time on the fun fall activities and Thanksgiving Day experience instead of slaving over yet another series of pricey holiday DIY’s.

Also worth noting, I’m really playing up my love for my Cricut Maker here, so I hope you’re on board!…

Fall Decorating Ideas | DIY Fall Table Decor You Can Make!

Before I get to my tips for styling unique Fall table decor, I thought I’d jump straight to the DIY details! The project themselves are VERY simple to recreate but easily look store-bought, which I love!

And the only thing better than unique fall decor, is cheap fall decor. All of these projects are substantially less expensive plus you can make as many or as few as you need for your number of guests.

DIY Fall Table Runner Idea

The base of the table is draped with a DIY table runner idea that I came up with super quickly. I’m officially obsessed with using my Cricut EasyPress for all things fabric related, and I love how the modern gold accents on this runner turned out!

Easy DIY Placemats for Fall

Layered on top of the runner are easy DIY placemats that I cut from leather in a custom round, swirl pattern. They really give the feel of natural fibers and whispy fall trees, don’t you think?!

They’re also no-sew, wipeable for easy cleaning, and the leather makes them super durable. It’s a win/win!

How to Make DIY Coasters

Lastly, I pulled the two DIY styles together with a classic grid print DIY coasters and I’m showing you how to make coasters using Cricut Infusible Ink right here!

It’s legit the coolest thing and your guests will DEFINITELY think you bought them! You create your custom pattern, names (a cool idea for place cards!), or design to generate with the Cricut Maker and then use their infusible ink to permanently adhere it to coasters. It’s awesome!

I’m giving you the free downloads for the patterns on all of these DIY projects, too, so be sure to check out DIY each post!

Fall Decorating Ideas | How to Style a Unique Fall Dining Table

Just because you’re going for cozy fall vibes doesn’t mean you need to fill the setting with pumpkins or leaves! You can give the same feel just with using a modern fall color scheme.

For this table, I stuck with rich tones like golden yellow, navy, mauve, blush pink, and lots of textures!

To create a playful element at each place setting, I placed a single apple with a rustic stem stuck on each. I love the final look of the apples, don’t you?!

What to Serve for A Fall Drink and Fall Appetizer

To pull it all together, I whipped up an easy crockpot meatball recipe and apple cider vinegar cocktail that I’ll be sharing later this week, so be sure to check back for those!

  1. Everything about this setting is absolutely gorgeous. I’m just thinking to jump into the “kitchen” market as table runners, place mats and tea towels are so easy to sew but nice modern ones are usually not so easy to find in stores. Your page came up in my search for diy ideas and I’m so happy it did! Do you have any info on those gorgeous tea towels/cloth napkins??

    1. Hi Nekisha! Thank you for the kind words! Good luck with your new venture. The tea towels/cloth napkins that we used are our old Anthropologie napkins! Hope this helps.
