DIY Hanging Marble Serving Board For Under $5
DIY Hanging Marble Serving Board — My marble hexagon addiction got me making these DIY Hanging Marble Serving Boards for under $5! And they’re perfect for gifting!
Even after my DIY Marble clock and DIY Gilded Marble Serving Boards, I still had approximately one million of these marble hexagons left in the closet, just screaming to be used.
Okay, so a million is a bit of an exaggeration, but I could serve snacks to an entire city block with them for sure.
All of this to say I’ve given them YET another twist, with this DIY hanging marble serving board project.
The good news: I’m getting rid of some more of these marble weights (which is essentially what they’ve been for the last few months) and I’m also whipping up DIY gifts to give left and right!
Seriously, these are super perfect for gifting considering you can make them for less than $5 each.
Not even the Target bargain dollar section can compete with that!..

How To Make A DIY Hanging Marble Serving Board
First, you’ll need to drill a hole into the very center of the tile.
To do this, use painter’s tape to tape across the surface of the tile for added strength so the marble doesn’t chip or break.
Next, start a groove with a drill and regular drill bit just until you can see ceramic dust, then switch to a ceramic drill bit and spritz the hole with water to help drill through without causing tension.
It may become a bit messy, but you can use a paper towel to dab away excess water.
Once you have your holes drilled, string leather ribbon through each whole and knot.
Easy as that!
So what do you think?! Not exactly reinventing the wheel, but easy enough and they definitely pack a big punch when you’re talking dollars!
