Materials and Tools Needed
- Wooden polaroid frames — We also love this custom personalized frames, unfinished frames, heart shaped designs and fun captions.
- Personal photos — Print your photos on matte photo paper. Trim them at about 2 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ to mimic a polaroid. However, first ensure the size matches the wooden Polaroid frames that you’re using for a snug fit.
- Craft glue
- Scissors
- Gift box — To hold your photos
- Optional: Mini circle magnets — If you want the option to hang them on the fridge
How to Make A DIY Wooden Polaroid Gift Set
1 — Apply an even layer of tacky glue to one side of a wooden Polaroid frame. Position the frame over the photo, aligning it carefully. Press down firmly on all corners to secure it in place.
2 — Once the glue is dry, trim any excess photo paper around the edges of the frame for a clean finish. Repeat for each photo.
3 — Optional: For added functionality, turn your photo frames into magnets! Simply glue a small magnet onto the back of the frame, ideally on the thickest part of the wood for better adherence. Add a personal touch by writing small notes or captions in the blank space at the bottom of each Polaroid frame.
4 — Package the framed photos neatly in a gift box, and your DIY Polaroid Photo Box Gift Set is ready to make someone’s day!

Oh my goodness, thanks so much Constance! xo
These are perfect! I have those exact wooden Polaroid frames sitting on my shelf, just waiting for the right project. I think they’d make an awesome garland, too–would be a fun way to dress up my hubby’s cubicle at work, without making it too girly.
