Garage Apartment Kitchen Appliances Makeover

This garage apartment makeover has been a LONG time in the making! We actually started this project in March, and man does that feel like forever ago.
The property actually belongs to Jared’s Aunt and Uncle, but my brother’s lease was ending downtown and we were hoping to have him closer to us in North Houston.
Even though this is a small space, it’s the absolute perfect size for a single guy that travels a lot – it just needed some key updates. So updating is just what we did!…
Since this isn’t a forever home, we prioritized higher-end upgrades in a few keys areas but used creative DIY’s for the rest.
That meant that finding quality, dependable appliances was a priority, and trendy decor was put on the back burner.

Obviously, kitchen messes are impossible to avoid, so I was so excited to see Maytag has appliances with fingerprint resistant stainless steel finish!
With all our family gatherings, it was important to have appliances that could withstand little hands and impromptu dinners.
I was also really excited about the range. It features Power Preheat, which helps you start cooking sooner, plus true convection cooking with a third heating element that lets you bake and roast faster.
I’m putting together a full DIY breakdown on how we used inexpensive adhesive floor tiles as a budget-friendly backsplash that’s waterproof and easily wipeable, too!
The fridge is one of my favorite additions to the apartment. Not only does it not show little fingerprints, but with one touch of the PowerCold® feature, the refrigerator chills down quickly to help keep everything cool, even if the whole family has been browsing with the door open.
