They’re the imprint of generations of bartenders honing the craft of coming up with stupid names so that they can giggle at your expense when you read the crusty blackboard and say, “What goes inside of a Chuck Norris Shot?!? You know what, we’ll have 3, please!”.
Enjoy and Salud!
If you are looking for a delicious sweet yet spicy and potent shot, look no further.
The Chuck Norris Shot is just that, and its very funny name will spark some good laughs.
The origin of this shot remains unclear, other than the obvious homage to the Oklahoma actor known for his roundhouse kick.
There are a few different variations to this recipe.
However, after kicking and punching our faces with a few very fun taste sessions, we’ve come up with the ultimate version of this super strong shot.
What Does the Chuck Norris Shot Taste Like?
The Chuck Norris Shot is sweet due to the raspberry vodka, grenadine, and energy drink.
And spiciness comes from the hot sauce.
We could imagine Chuck Norris drinking this at a bar.

Ingredients Needed to Make the Chuck Norris Shot
Raspberry vodka — We use Absolut Raspberry.
Whiskey — Royal Crown is our preference.
Grenadine — A classic in cocktail making that adds color and sweetness. Used in cocktails like the Sweet Tart Shot and Classic Rum Punch.
Energy drink — We recommend using Red bull for sweetness and, obviously, the caffeine kick you didn’t know you needed.
Hot sauce — For us, Sriracha is the way to go. It’s super red, hot, and tangy with a touch of sweetness.
Dried cayenne peppers — Optional for garnish
Useful Equipment to Make this Shot
Jigger — To measure each liquid ingredient.
Cocktail shaker — To mix and chill all the ingredients
Cocktail strainer — To strain the mix.
Shot glasses
Recipe Notes and Tips
What if I don’t have raspberry vodka?
If you don’t have raspberry vodka on hand, then opt for other fruity vodkas like cherry vodka or strawberry vodka.
The flavor profile of the Chuck Norris Shot should be fruity, specifically a red fruit profile. So we do not recommend changing it for any other type of fruit other than cherry or strawberry.
Can I make this in a large batch?
Yes! If you are hosting a large party, you can also create this in a large batch by maintaining the proportions.
It should be 1 part raspberry vodka, 1 part whiskey, 1 part energy drink, 1/2 part grenadine and 1/2 hot sauce.
Don’t worry about the energy drink losing its bubbles. It is mainly added for flavor and sweetness.
Store in a crystal bottle or air tight container in the fridge until it’s ready to be served.
