As kids, we loved unwrapping Jolly Ranchers. (Let’s be honest, we still enjoy them now too.)
Back then, they were just little hard candies. Now, they also available as gummies, lollipops and jelly bean.s
The colorful Jolly Rancher Shot tastes exactly like the candy, BUT with a fun adult kick.
What Dos the Jello Rancher Shot Tastes Like?
Jolly Rancher candies come in many flavors like orange, pineapple, cherry, blue raspberry and more.
We paid homage to one of our all-time-favorite and original flavors, green apple, which is what this Jolly Rancher shot tastes exactly like.
It’s deliciously sweet and a bit sour and tangy.

Ingredients Needed to Make a Jolly Rancher Shot
Vodka — It’s potent but has a very neutral taste, perfect for letting the fruity flavors shine. You can also use apple vodka.
Green apple schnapps — To recreate the classic green apple flavor
Pineapple juice — For extra sweetness
Fresh lime juice — For the tangy kick
Strawberry — For garnish
Granny Smith apple — For garnish
How to Make a Jolly Rancher Shot
1 — Chill your shot glasses in the fridge for at least 10 minutes. For extra chilled glasses, wet them beforehand and immediately chill them in the freezer.
2 — In a cocktail shaker, add the vodka, apple schnapps, pineapple juice, and lime juice with 2-3 ice cubes. Shake well for 1 minute or so.
3 — Prep the garnish:
Cut the strawberry into thin slices (one for each glass). Make a slit at the bottom so that it can sit on the brim of the glass.
Then, cut the apple into thin slices (one for each glass). Cut a small triangle at the bottom, close to the skin, so it can sit on the brim of the glass.
4 — Pour the mixed liquid into the chilled shot glasses. Garnish with an apple and strawberry slice.
Recipe Notes and Tips
— Garnishes are always optional, but they do make for a prettier mixed drinks. We especially love using apples as we did with our Fall Poison Apple Cocktail and Apple Brandy.
— If you are making the shots in advance for a party, rub a bit of lime against the apple slices to prevent them from browning.
