Scooby Snack Shot Recipe
Creamy and fruity, this easy Scooby Snack Shot recipe is perfect for your next party! It’s made with just a few ingredients and takes just minutes to prepare.
Yes, you’ve read it right. These shots are called Scooby Snacks.
You might or might not remember the treats Daphne and Velma gave Scooby to try to convince him to go after a monster or to do something frightening.
But aside from the name and the fact that these bright green-looking shots are deliciously addictive, they have nothing to do with Scooby Doo’s treats.
Where does the name come from? Ah! It’s a mystery! Maybe one that Scooby-Doo and his friends can solve.
Certainly, there’s not much info on the background of this delicious shot recipe. But whoever invented it was absolutely spot on!
What Does It Taste Like?
The Scooby Snack Shot features fruity tropical flavors thanks to an equal part coconut rum, melon liqueur, pineapple and heavy cream mixture.
It goes down smooth like a Buttery Nipple due to its creamy texture and low alcohol content.
Can You Substitute Heavy Cream for Whipped Cream?
Yes, if you don’t have heavy cream on hand, then you can use whipped cream instead.
Remember that heavy cream has a higher fat content, whereas whipped cream is light. So the final results will be less creamy.
Plus, it will take longer for the whipped cream to mix evenly with all the other ingredients.
For a less sugary and low-calorie alternative, choose milk as a substitute.
Ingredients Needed to Make a Scooby Snack Shot
Coconut rum — Any brand works, but our favorite is Malibu Rum.
Melon liqueur — Any brand works, but our favorite is Midori, which is great to have on hand since you can make so many different types of Midori cocktails.
Pineapple juice — Fresh or bottled. The sweeter, the better.
Heavy cream
Whipped cream, pineapple leaf, and cocktail cherry — Optional for garnish
How to Make a Scooby Snack Shot

Step 2 — Shake well for 1 minute or until the cocktail shaker gets frosted.
Step 3 — Strain and pour the mixture into the shot glass.
Step 4 — Garnish with some whipped cream, a pineapple leaf, and a cocktail of cherry.
Recipe Notes and Tips
