Spiked Peach Tea Recipe
Ring in summer with this super refreshing and simple Spiked Peach Tea cocktail recipe that only requires 3 ingredients.
Summer is officially upon us here in Texas, and anything that involves ice cubes is our new best friend. Between iced tea, Mint Juleps and Alabama Slammers, the South pretty much has all of the token summer drinks covered.
And in honor of National Iced Tea Day (yes, this was news to u too), we punched things up a bit with this Spiked Peach Tea cocktail recipe. This is recipe is a twist on the classic Spiked Arnold Palmer.
We’re willing to bet hugs and macarons on how much your guests will love it, though admittedly it may be dangerously easy to drink.
Spiked Peach Tea Ingredients
This easy drink recipe requires only 3 ingredients and no need to add tea bags. It’s seriously quick to make in no time!
- Unsweetened peach tea — Store-bought or homemade. We used Dunkin’ Donuts iced peach tea. For an extra sweet and sugary drink, opt for sweet tea. We prefer to use unsweetened tea since the cocktail calls for simple syrup.
- Vodka or peach vodka — Or substitute with whiskey.
- Mint simple syrup — You can purchase it store bought. But it’s so easy to make your own homemade for your cocktails and baked goods. Or you can use Stevia with fresh mint. For a lower calorie version, subsitute with Stevia and fresh mint.
- Optional: Mint sprigs and peach slices — To garnish. Fesh mint is a must. It totally makes the drink, trust us!
How to Make a Homemade Peach Iced Tea Cocktail
1 — In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine all of the ingredients. Shake until well chilled.
2 — Pour the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice.
3 — Optional: Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and peach slices or mix it in your drink.
Of course, we always encourage striped straws, but we used these DIY brass drink stirrers instead.
Recipe Notes and Tips
- If you don’t have peach vodka: Use plain vodka and add a few extra tablespoons of peach nectar for added flavor.
- Adjust the amount of simple syrup to your desired level of sweetness.
- Experiment with different fruits for muddling, like raspberries or blueberries.
- You don’t need a cocktail shaker and can mix your ingredients directly in the glass. However, we like using a shaker to ensure that all the ingredients are well combined.
- For a non-alcoholic version: Simply omit the vodka and add an extra splash of club soda.
How Long Does This Cocktail Keep?
If you made a batch of the spiked peach tea cocktail mixture and have leftovers, store the tea and refrigerate for up to 2-3 days.
Keep in mind that the alcohol will lose its potency so we highly recommend consuming it within 24 hours.
