It’s officially summer and that means it’s the season of pool parties, BBQ’s, and long hot days by the water. One of the best things about this season? Spending all day by the pool enjoying a refreshing cocktail, of course!
Yes, there’s also plenty of magical pool floats and breezy summer dresses to go around. But, at the end of the day, there’s nothing like having the perfect cocktail to cool off with in the heat of summer.
I decided to put a twist on the classic dreamsicle by adding a splash (okay, okay, maybe two splashes) of vanilla whiskey to make this whiskey dreamsicle cocktail.
The dreamsicle is definitely a summer favorite, and honestly, it was only a matter of time before I found a way to make it cocktail-approved, am I right?!
Floral garnishes are definitely having a moment (proof here and here), and I’m never one to pass on a floral kabob! Just add some sweet treats, and you’re ready to have yourself a party…

Whiskey Dreamsicle Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 oz Crown Royal Vanilla Flavored Whisky
- 3 oz Orange Soda
Instructions
- Add the whiskey to an ice-filled cocktail shaker with the orange soda and stir until completely chilled.
- Pour into a glass over ice (or in a coupe for extra girly flair like we did!) and garnish with edible flowers.
