Featuring Jagermeister, 151 proof rum and Fireball, the Liquid Cocaine Shot is a potent and aromatic shooter that packs a punch.
Inappropriately named yet delicious, this is a crazy shot for a fun night out. So don’t read this at work or near your kids! And don’t get mad at us. We didn’t come up with the names.
They’re the imprint of generations of bartenders honing the craft of coming up with stupid names so that they can giggle at your expense when you read the crusty blackboard and say, “What goes inside of a Liquid Cocaine Shot?!? You know what, we’ll have 3, please!”.
Enjoy and Salud!
By its name, you can get an idea already of how potent the Liquid Cocaine Shot is.
With a combination of Jagermeister, 151 overproof rum and Fireball, it’s no doubt going to be strong.
This shot is also known as the Liquid Crack Shot or Stone Cold Stinger Shot because it’s designed to wake you up and punch you in the face with its flavor profile.
It is sweet, minty aromatic, full of botanical flavors, and of course, VERY STRONG!
What is Jagermeister?
Jagermeister literally means in “Master of the Hunt” in German.
It’s a herbal liquor considered to be a “digestif liquor,” the kind you enjoy after a copious meal on the rocks or in a cocktail form.
It has a thick consistency with a caramel color and a very distinctive herbal smell and flavor.
It is made with a secret formula of 56 herbs with licorice and anise being the main ones.
Proceed with caution since it is 35% alcohol or US 70 proof.

What is 151 Proof Rum?
151 proof rum or over proof room is a type of rum that has more than 50% alcohol.
Regular rums are a mixture of 50% ethanol and 50% water, which is a formula known as the regular proof.
Overproof rum origins date back to the British Navy, and that’s why they are often referred to as “navy strength.”
Apparently, if regular rum was spilled on gunpowder, the water in it would make the gunpowder unable to light.
But rums with higher percentages would not have this problem.
So the British sailors created rums with higher percentages to avoid this issue.
Ingredients Needed to Make a Liquid Cocaine Shot
There are a few different possible variations to make this shot.
However, the common ingredients include Jagermeister, mint and cinnamon schnapps;
Other recipes incorporate overproof rum into the mix.
After much experimenting, we’ve come up with a slight variation that is insanely good and a perfect fit for the mix.
It has Fireball in the place of the cinnamon schnapps.
Fireball has a cinnamon flavor and a whiskey kick that amps up the flavor.
To make our version, you are going to need:
Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
151 proof rum — If you don’t have any, feel free to use regular white rum (avoid using dark-aged rums) or simply skip the rum.
Cinnamon stick — Optional for garnish
How to Make the Liquid Cocaine Shot
1 — In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add all the liquids. Shake well until chilled.
