They’re the imprint of generations of bartenders honing the craft of coming up with stupid names so that they can giggle at your expense when you read the crusty blackboard and say, “What goes inside of a Blow Job Shot?!? You know what, we’ll have 3, please!”.

The Blow Job Shot is perfect as an easy drink to start out the night with some friends, perfect for a girl’s night out or bachelorette parties.

Tradition demands that it has to drank without your hands in one gulp!

So tilt your head and get ready for some hands free deliciousness.

Its origins are a bit unclear.

But we know it’s a creation from the 1980s and 90s when bartenders were getting extra creative and naughty naming their concoctions.

Also known as the BJ Shot, it is a classic that has survived the passing of time for very good reasons.

What Does it Taste Like?

The Blow Job Shot is mainly sweet and creamy with coffee and bitter almond notes, thanks to the Kahlua and Amaretto liqueurs.

Since it’s not alcohol-heavy, it’s very easy to chug down a few.

These shots taste literally like coffee bonbons!

What Ingredients Do You Need to Make the Blow Job Shot?

Amaretto liqueur — For the base layer. Also used in another classic cocktail, the Amaretto Sour.

Kahlua Coffee liqueur — To mix with the Amaretto for the base layer.

Baileys Irish cream — As the second layer. A must to make an espresso martini

Whipped cream — As the topping.

Some of the shot variations are made without the Amaretto liqueur.

However, we find the combination of all these ingredients to be the most delicious.
