Behind the Scenes of the Amazon Event & Party We Styled
I’m having a major “pinch me” moment over getting to finally share the Amazon event and party photos that I styled! It’s surreal getting to see them live!
I apologize in advance for getting all sappy on you with this post. But I just can’t help it.
Finally getting to see the Amazon Event and Party photos that I styled is so surreal.
It’s one of the most exciting moments so far in this crazy career that I stumbled upon!
Having gone from being a confused 20-year old girl who quit college in West Virginia, to a 28 year old small business owner that got to style photos in the Amazon studios in Seattle is quite the story.
Out of all of the amazingly talented people they could’ve chosen for the job, being the one they picked basically hit me like a ton of emotional bricks.
In the best way possible, of course!
I’m so incredibly thankful for all of the doors that have been opened up to me along the way.
Now… I’m super pumped to share all of the pretty final images and ideas with you!
Plus, you can shop all of the occasions on the new Event & Party page right here!
Before you go shopping, I wanted to give you a peek into the making of the photos.
The Amazon Family
Let me introduce you to our new little Amazon family that we made after a week of 12 hour days, a few tight timelines, celebratory coconut pie, and me forcing everyone to wear unicorn party hats midday.
While I had all too much fun dreaming up the concepts for eleven holidays, we had some seriously great help with the food styling to bring it to life.
Kelsey Eads conquered the food game while simultaneously putting up with me asking her “can I eat this?” every five seconds after a photo was taken.
I also fell in Love (capital L intended) with the Amazon studios creative team, pictured above.
They made us feel super welcome.
Even better, they totally didn’t judge me for very clearly winging it every day of the week.
Our Holiday Scenes
Here’s just a few glimpses of the many 11 styling scenes.
Halloween Party
As it turns out, getting the right photo of smoke from dry ice for a spooky Halloween takes approximately 5 different people wafting fans in uncomfortable squatting positions.
Sports Party
Football is such a big deal in our household. Naturally, I had to style a game day scene.
Christmas Party
Have an empty fireplace or faux fireplace? You can totally apply this same styling idea to yours.
New Year’s Party
Valentine’s Party
Birthday Party
If it wasn’t obviously already, we’re big confetti fans.
Funfetti Cookie Cake. Jumbo Confetti Poppers. Confetti Placemats. There’s no way that we could not incorporate confetti in at least one scene!
All in all, I’m not sure that I can even pick a favorite scene that we created.
Basically, I want to live in all of them!
Or eat cake from each, but you know what I mean. Instead of picking a favorite, let’s just relive it a little with this time lapse video, shall we?
Be sure to check out all of the photos live on the Amazon Event & Party page. And a huge thank you Amazon for partnering with us on this!
