Statement DIY Pom Pom Scarf
Statement DIY Pom Pom Scarf — Super excited about our latest project, a Statement DIY Pom Pom Scarf! Perfect for the cold weather and bundling up this winter.
We definitely have a bit of a pom pom obsession around here. So it’s no surprise that when we began brainstorming our winter projects, we had to consciously keep our addiction to a minimum.
We’ve been seeing pom poms everywhere at our favorite online shops. And we figured we give the idea a twist and make a Statement DIY Pom Pom scarf!
I’m super excited about the way the scarf turned out, especially with our token color scheme.
I hope you like it, because there are PLENTY of yarn projects to come in the next few weeks!
Materials And Tools Needed To Make DIY Pom Pom Scarf
Pom poms — We used a pom pom maker to make ours so that we can make various sizes and colors! But you can also purchase pre-made ones here or here.
Extra yarn — Color of your choice
Scissors
Fabric glue — Optional for extra security
Chunky tight knit scarf — We also love the idea of freshening up a knit wrap.
How To Make DIY Pom Pom Scarf
Once you have your pom poms made, lay your scarf out flat and place them intermittently to get an idea of the layout and placemat of your poms.
Glue each pom pom in place with the fabric glue, and let them dry according the to manufacturers instructions.
Once the glue is dry, use the yarn needle and a piece of yarn to sew each pom pom in place.
Because the poms are heavy, I liked the idea of having the extra security of sewing and gluing them on.
Once they’re in place, you’re ready to make a statement!
Any guesses on what our next pom pom victim be? What would you all like to see?!
Besides our Statement DIY Pom pom scarf, we’ve conquered tree toppers, gift wrap, wall hangs, beach bags, blankets, luggage tags, and placemats…
I told you it was an addiction!
